(CNN) — Hundreds of Somalis marched through the streets of Mogadishu, Somalia, on Monday, protesting against Al-Shabaab militants.
The protesters — mostly women and children, along with traditional warriors wearing white clothes and armed with spears and
wooden shieldschanted slogans denouncing the al Qaeda-inspired group.It was only the nation’s second public demonstration against Al-Shabaab,
which controls much of southern Somalia. It came a few days after the militant group destroyed tombs of revered Sufi clerics.the demonstration

after a suicide bomber detonated his explosives in a graduation ceremony in the capital, killing more than 20 people, including four government ministers, doctors, teachers, students and journalists.
